La Lessive is LAVOIR’s liquid laundry soap, inspired by Mamie Lou — our French grandmother — and her gentler, more thoughtful way of caring for linen. It is a return to the familiar rituals of a French home: soft soap, freshly washed fabric, and a quiet perfume lingering in the air.

Made in small batches in Cheltenham with traditional Marseille soap flakes, water, and our signature perfume composed in Grasse, France.

Built around soap rather than a conventional detergent system, La Lessive gently cleans and softens fabric while leaving behind a delicate perfume — never sharp or overpowering. It contains no optical brighteners.

Suitable for machine washing and hand washing. For stubborn marks, treat the fabric first, then wash as usual.

A 1L tin provides approximately 30 washes — around £1.07 per wash.

Shake gently before use. Use the 10ml wooden spoon to measure — around three level spoons (30ml) per wash. Pour into your machine drawer or directly into the drum, adjusting for load, water hardness and how soiled the laundry is.

Suitable for machine and hand washing. La Lessive isn't a stain remover — pre-treat stubborn marks first, then wash as usual.
